Unfortunate Worsening of Alleged Damage By SSE plc

In spite of valiant and diplomatic efforts by polite, helpful and constructive staff members’ at SSE plc., the dysfunction of SSE plc still persists. To a lethal degree.

To date, SSE plc has accumulated in excess of £33,000,000 in fines from the regulator, OFGEM, SSE plc. This chronic position appears, on forensic examination, to be worsening.

The cause appears to be a chronic understaffing of telephone lines and a culture of CEO leadership that is evident by the fines and the excoriating report from the industry regulator.

So serious are the narrative and findings of the OFGEM reports, that the current CEO appears as unfit to hold the position as head of a vital “Big 6” energy supplier in the U.K. It is understood that the current CEO is doing the decent thing and standing down.

In fairness, the complainants, Russ McLean and the company he directs, Unique Property Bulletin Ltd., understand that SSE plc have been overloaded with an excess of around a million “orphaned” electricity customers, all of whom SSE plc have been required to help. This was following the collapse of 47 independent electricity companies. Further exacerbated by the findings of a panel of 30 auditors that 12 of the remaining 22 “independent” electricity companies are trading insolvently.

Consequently, it is understandable that the “Big 6” electricity suppliers of “last resort” and especially a lot of decent and helpful staff, have been under enormous strain.

The complainant does not wish to add to that strain and is just asking, pleading for something that has eluded him and the company he directs. Simply:

“An accurate electricity bill please?”

Sadly, as a result of further, serious infractions of various electricity regulations and banking protocols during the past 24 hours (11/12th March 2025), the complainant has little option than to aver in law that SSE plc are, and have been well aware that their customer is a stroke survivor.

This may be further averted as evidentially compelling, following the FIRST “grotesque” removal by SSE plc of £19,428.46 of Unique Property Bulletin Ltd., company finds for what has been a £198 direct debit, is likely to cause harm to the stroke survivor.

In fact, the evidence dates back to the 5th November 2024 when, within three hours of a marathon series of phone calls to SSE plc and over 6 hours “on hold” the complainant suffered an (alleged) SSE plc induced and witnessed “hypertensive crisis” of blood pressure. The blood pressure meters requested by the consultant neurologist and her staff (for daily readings), were deployed and the results of the “SSE plc induced hypertensive crisis” were photographed and witnessed. The clinical diagnosis within hours was what a “TIA” (transient ischaemic attack – small stroke) had been induced by SSE plc in the patient/deemed-customer.

Consequently, as at 12th March 2025, the complainant is still asking for:

“An accurate electricity bill please?”

From around January 2025, the building at 280 High Street, Arbroath, Angus, DD11 1JF has opened as a business-centre (the aim of which is to re-open many closed down High Street premises).

Consequently, an accurate electricity billing invoice for the whole premises is a necessity please?

Each office has a professionally wired mini consumer unit and is separately metered so that the landlord can accurately and fairly seek each tenant’s share of the main electricity bill.

Preliminary evidence of 11th and 12th March 2025…

Majority Empty Building

& Unresolved Dispute

We kept getting invoiced for the previous owner’s electricity bill. As a result, SSE plc put a block on our ability to move to a supplier offering a far better KWH rate.

PLEASE NOTE: Just 3 weeks after we purchased this building for £60,000 (on 28th February 2020 (here)) the whole world was hit with the Coronavirus pandemic. During the pandemic  lockdowns, we were banned by law from entering our own premises.

The High Street does not need to die. We shall continue to create new jobs by providing high quality renovated buildings at competitive an fair rents, plus decent profits for our shareholders and no profits to the banks.

The key is to buy old, closed-down shops at very competitive prices. Often from a financial institution where the bank takes the hit. We have a moral obligation to cause discomfort to banks: here and here. Plus the charity we founded to help the folk who had the courage to try but hadn’t made it and been screwed by banks: here.

In fact the planning class is A2 which is hard to get and means each unit can be used for the likes of non-retail such as a solicitor, and accountant, an estate agency, a mortgage broker an insurance broker etc.

Once The Roof Had Been Overhauled

The interior of the building could then be renovated in dryness.

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, and then the accident that caused our managing director a stroke, it took years, not months to finally get the offices fit for purpose such as fire safety regs. The next photograph is tantalisingly close as can be seen by the pyro cable at the ceiling just waiting fo the fire engineer to fit the safety alarm heads…

Following the managing director’s accident and first stroke (a second stroke was caused in November 2025 by a company that we cannot name due to sub judice statute), one of the other directors sought to lease the part-completed element to a firm of solicitors. This did not work out well.

As of January 2025, the final certifications are in place and the ground floor offices are ready to be leased out.
