Why can’t the new Registrar at Companies House, Andy King, nor his line manager Jonathan Reynolds MP., see that abusing (disabled) company directors is a bad thing?
Especially when Mr King is breaching a SOLEMN, LEGAL PROMISE that his decent, honourable and law-abiding predecessor, (former) Companies House Registrar Louise Smyth CBE., made to the JUDGE at HM Sheriff Court in Forfar following the 22 March 2022 case?
A government official being contemptuous of rulings at HM Court is a serious infraction of legal protocol
The original promise to the judge? Louise Smyth gave her word that she would appoint a “disabled-director-liaison-officer” to help the 203 disabled directors in the UK CREATE JOBS then we will simply STOP creating jobs? Louise Smyth kept her promise.
New Registrar Andy King caused that promise to be BROKEN.
The Book-Keeper for just one of those 203 (disabled) company directors had been responsible for creating 232 new jobs.
Ironically during the period in the past, 35 years when the UK Companies House was a Gold-Standard of international company registries.
How is it a good policy for the UK., when the new Registrar follows the terrible precedent inflicted on innocent people that ex-Post Office boss, Paula Vennells did with a very similar, dangerously defective AI run computer system with inbuilt, delegated permission to prosecute innocent human beings?

From this end of the keyboard, a disabled director (1994 spinal surgery and 2019 TBI ~ stroke) had managed to create those 232 new jobs and also saved the State £282,000 across 4 decades, by not claiming benefits to which he had previously been awarded.
When that director, with overdue further spinal surgery, endured two hours of pain walking to and from the Post Office, to file his Annual Accounts on time (by 31st July 2026), the result was this farcical reply…

Next, for veracity, our book keeper literally (and that is the correct use of the word), she literally went through 35 years’ worth of HM Land Registry and Registers of Scotland TITLE DEEDS to work out the FACT that 88 dilapidated-homes, closed-shops, shut-hotels and derelict-factories had been brought back to life, with 232 JOBS being created…

But why bother?
All the effort gets you is a Companies House Registrar who ignores the Sheriff at Forfar Sheriff Court, then refuses to help a disabled director navigate an infamously dysfunctional Companies House “Verify-ID” system that FORCES a company director to RESIGN because he is disabled and cannot get through the appallingly diabolical “Verify-ID system.
Sadly, the nightmare “Verify-ID system and continued contempt with which the new Registrar holds the ruling by the Sheriff at Forfar Sheriff Court means that 4 new JOBS have been LOST.
Much worse, Companies House SENIOR MANAGEMENT are going to cost 24 more LOST jobs at this one set of companies if the Registrar persists in ignoring PLEAS from a disabled director for help in navigating the terrible “VERIFY-ID” system…
